Awik Awik as Local Wisdom of Sesaot Village as Fear of Dakwah

  • Mohammad Liwa Irrubai Student Doctoral Program (S3) – IPS Education, UPI Bandung

Abstract

This article aims to explain the Awik-awik originating from the local wisdom of Sesaot Village community, then compiled and written into a regulation that can be read, understood and implemented by Sesaot Villagers in Sesaot forest conservation. The research method used is qualitative research method with ethnography study approach. The results show that the Awik-awik of Sesaot Village has been compiled into a written rule and has been endorsed by the village head as responsible. The socialization process is carried out directly by the village head, the head of the forest management group and the Awik-awik loka, all of which have similar characteristics and methods in da'wah. This shows that Awik-awik can be an effective means of propagation to provide enlightenment to the community because the material comes from local wisdom of local communities.
